Governor Anoatubby cuts ribbon on I-35 ramps

THACKERVILLE, Okla. – A new exit ramp at Interstate 35 will benefit Chickasaw Nation businesses as well as local residents, according to Governor Anoatubby.

“These additional ramps will alleviate traffic congestion and allow easier access to all WinStar properties,” Gov. Anoatubby said, adding “Easier access to the area should lead to more jobs and additional economic activity in the region. Tribal businesses and economic development enable us to meet our mission to enhance the overall quality of life of the Chickasaw people by providing employment opportunities and funding for our many programs and services.”

Chickasaw Nation Governor Bill Anoatubby and a state of Oklahoma’s top executives in the department of transportation officially cut the ribbon Tuesday opening Exit 3 ramps designed to smooth traffic flowing into and out of the area around WinStar World Casino.

Gov. Anoatubby was joined by Oklahoma Secretary of Transportation Gary Ridley, Oklahoma Department of Transportation Director Mike Patterson and other officials to open a new entrance and exit ramp to Interstate 35.

The Chickasaw Nation partnered with the Oklahoma Department of Transportation to construct the new access ramps.
